Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrives in Kabul

ISLAMABAD/KABUL – Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, along with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and other top government officials has arrived in Kabul on the invitation of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.

According to TheNewsTribe’s correspondent from Kabul, Afghan Foreign Minister Salahuddin, Finance and Hospitality Ministers welcomed Pakistani delegation at the Kabul airport.

Pakistani PM was also given guard of honor at the airport.

The delegation on a long day visit will meet Ashraf Ghani and Afghanistan’s Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in Kabul.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan PM is in Kabul on his second visit to the neighboring Afghanistan and the first after the installation of the elected government.

PM Sharif previously visited Afghanistan on November 30, 2013.
