Kashmir Issue Is Still Full Of Life At UN

NEW YORK- United Nations proclaims that Kashmir issue is still on their agenda and the resolutions of Security Council stand valid till recent time on Sunday.

On this behalf, the Secretary General has recently proposed mediation, he offers his services to mediate between Pakistan and India on Kashmir issue, though the ball is in their court now whether they accept the offer or not.

Secretary General for Political Affairs of UN, Mr. Xiaoning, has expressed these views in a detailed meeting with Barrister Sultan Mehmood at UN headquarters.

In this meeting Barrister Sultan urged the United Nations to ensure the implementation of its resolutions and pressurize India for the resolution of the issue.

Barrister Sultan Mehmood gave briefing to the high official on the new movement been started in occupied Kashmir and the violations of human rights by India.

He stressed that Kashmir issue is one of the issues which were presented to UN at the very beginning of its formation, so UN should make such issues’ resolution at its first priority.

On the other side, the chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), an alliance of 26 political, social and religious organizations to raise the Kashmir cause, has been interned at his home and a heavy force of police has been stationed there.

Mirwaiz has condemned the decision of Indian Government and maintained that using such tactics cannot stop the freedom movement. According to him, APHC former chairman and the senior leader Sayyad Ali Geelani has already been interned by Indian Army since 5th May.

While on the mother’s day, thousands of Kashmiri mothers are waiting for their missing sons to come home who have been detained illegally by the Indian Army.

Not only this, thousands of mothers are looking desperately for their sons been martyred in a fake police encounter.

Along with this, the Kashmiri students been expelled from Rohtak Institute of Management and Engineering have continued to observe hunger strike in Jantar Mantar.

These students expressed frustration over not receiving money under the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme and being expelled from college and hostel.

They exclaimed further that their struggle is against the callous college administration who has demanded to submit the fee during the semester while the Government promised them full scholarship.
