RAWALPINDI – The Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif pays a surprise visit to monitor the pace of construction of Metro Bus Service.
Senior PML (N) leaders including Haneef Abbasi, Malik Shakeel Awan, DCO and Commissioner Rawalpindi also accompanied Shahbaz Sharif.
The CM also travelled from Saddar to Faizabad in order to analyze the quality of track laid.
This is the second visit of the Chief Minister to analyze the construction process, the delay in which has been adding to the woes of general public for a long time.
The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also annoyed after he inspected and monitored the situation and ordered the department to complete the work quickly, as it has been defaming the reputation of the ruling party and creating additional problems for the public.
The chief minister had threatened administration that he would be visiting again to monitor the situation in the current week, which has again created worry for the Metro bus project board.
The public raised an important issue for the Punjab government that if the Metro Bus Project has to be monitored by the Shahbaz Sharif, then for what reason were the government staffs and the Metro Bus administration hired and paid for.
