Sit-in In Islamabad was to provoke COAS; Javed Hashmi

KARACHI — Former President of Paksitan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) and senior politician, Javid Hashmi, revealed that the PTI’s sit-in staged in Islamabad last year was to provoke Raheel Sharif.

While talking to one of the private TV channels Javed Hashmi revealed on Thursday that PTI led sit in was not for the government, but to invite the Army Chief.

He also added that Plan was made to get aims through Army by overthrowing the government.

He said that ex-Director General (DG) Inter Service Intelligence (ISI), Zaheer ul Islam, and few commandoes were behind the Sit-in campaign who was receiving directions from Ahmad Shuja Pasha.

Javid Hashmi also said that the purpose of sit-in was to provoke Raheel Sharif against Nawaz Sharif and his government, but Raheel sharif maturely handled the crisis and did not derail democracy.

According to Javid Hashmi when PTI and PAT leadership decided to move towards Prime Minister House than at that time, “I held a press conference the next day, after which I received a call from Ahmad Shuja Pasha.”

He said that Ahmad shuja Paasha threatened him, and also pointed fingers towards Khawaja Asif, Chaudhary Nisar and Nawaz Sharif that we will deal with all of them harshly.
