Rabia Anum raises serious question over JI stance

KARACHI: Renowned news caster Rabia Anum has criticised Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirj-ul-Haq over his statement why women didn’t casted votes in lower Dir elections.

Sirj-ul-Haq was invited for his opinion over the victory of JI in by-election at PK-95, where anchor asked him why women didn’t casted votes today.

JI chief replied that women of Lower Dir have more better things to do than casting Vote.

Following the interview, news caster Rabia Anum posted the tweet “Sirajulhaq says Women of Lower Dir have more better things to do than casting Vote. Shaaaabasssh JI. Women Jalsas in Khi & No Vote in Dir.”

It is pertinent to mention here that JI has won the PK-95 election where not a single vote was casted by women.
