ISLAMABAD – The Federal Government announces the approval of two housing sectors for federal government employees.
The sectors F-14 and F-15 have been approved by the Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif for the allotment of houses to the federal government employees.
The houses would be allotted by the Government Employees Housing Foundation working under Federal Ministry of Housing on the basis of seniority list.
Sources told that sector F-14 covers a less populated area of 20,000 canals and would be acquired soon by the Collector Land Acquisition. Approval of only half of the sector F-15 could be given, owing to the fact that Peshawar G.T Road traverses it.
The approval of F-12 sector for the same purpose had been given by the former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. However the project had to be suspended due to difficulties in the acquisition of land.
The Director General of Federal Government Employees Housing Scheme Waqas Ali Mehmud had sent a summary to the Prime Minister few months ago which has now been approved.
Sources told that more than 12,000 plots of different sizes would be made, collectively in both the sectors which would be systematically allotted to the federal government employees afterwards.
