BEIJING – The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, will visit China next week to balance the trade deficit with Asian friend, Beijing told on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Modi will pay his first ever visit to China after coming into power. The decision was taken in order to balance the outstanding trade ties between the two neighboring states.
There are many clashes and disputes going on between the two regarding border disputes, but Indian premier decided to bury the hatches and join hands on the new ventures to achieve new horizons.
It is to be noted that the President of China paid a visit to India last September, where they agreed to lay emphasize on the cooperation and bilateral trade.
Both India and China are two of the biggest trading partners with trade totaling to $70 Billion, but India is much concerned about the increasing trade deficit on its side which climbed up to $40 Billion from $1 Billion in 2001-2002.
It is to noted here that Indians showed much resentment upon the visit of Chinese Premier to Pakistan and its landmark agreements signed with Pakistan on 20-21 April.
