Microsoft Lumia flagship phablet, smartphone with Windows 10 leak online

WASHINGTON: Microsoft reportedly has two high-end Lumia smartphones in the pipeline as they are ready to debut with the latest Windows 10 later this year.

The highly-anticipated Windows 10 smartphones have finally hit the internet which is expected to feature high-end specs.

Microsoft has unveiled a few Windows 10-ready phones already, but for now the company has focused on budget-friendly handsets with modest specifications.

The device with a code name Talkman and Cityman emerged online which have almost the same specs but difference in sizes and processors.

The Lumia device with a codename Cityman would be a phablte and could be the successor of Lumia 1520.  The device is also expected to be called Lumia 1530 or 940XL.

It will reportedly boast a 5.7-inch display with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and pack an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 3GB of RAM.

Other reported specs include a 20-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter, a 3,330 mAh removable battery, a removable rear cover, and a microSD card slot for additional storage.

This handset will reportedly support the recently-touted Continuum for Phones feature, which will allow users to turn their smartphone into a PC by connecting it to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

The other high-end Lumia codenamed Talkman would be the flagship device of the company and expected to be named as Lumia 940. The device is reportedly feature a 5.2-inch display with the same QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 as the Cityman, but pack a hexa-core (six cores) processor under the hood.

Other specs include 3GB of RAM, a 20-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter, and a 3,000 mAh removable battery. Microsoft is reportedly trying to keep the Talkman handset “much slimmer” than the Lumia 930, according to Unleash the Phones.

Both of these upcoming Lumia models are further expected to rock a triple-LED flash “to support different tones for photos,” The Verge notes.
