KARACHI: The main accuse of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Imran Farooq murder, Moazzam Ali Khan has finally given the statement in front of JIT, local media reported on Monday.
According to details, the Moazzam Ali Khan revealed that Dr Imran Farooq was murdered due to political differences from the party.
Moazzam further said that they had made the strategy twice to kill MQM leader, one in 2007 and the other in 2010.
During the investigation he reveled that they have made the code name of Imran Farooq as ‘Mamu’ after the assassination the message came from London was that ‘Mamu’s game is over’.
The accuse further said that he has met MQM chief Altaf Hussain twice one in 2001 and last time was in 2007. He also said he had stayed at Altaf Hussain’s residence once and also attended MQM Chief’s Walima ceremony.
“I have also stayed at MQM leader Mohammad Anwar’s residence once in 2007,” accuse told JIT.
He also revealed another name (Abid Noora) in front of JIT and said Abid Noora knew that Imran Farooq was going to be murdered. He said he never met Noora a resident of Landhi area after the assassination of MQM leader.
Ali told JIT that he used to fund Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) monthly.
It is pertinent to mention here that Moazzam Ali Khan was arrested from Karachi’s area Azizabad near MQM headquarter Nine Zero.
