Former Additional Secretary Election commission Admires Election Tribunal’s Decision

RAWALPINDI – Re-polling ordered by the election tribunal in NA-125. We are rejoiced to hear the decision. Former Additional Secretary Election Commission Afzal Khan said that it is a delayed decision but better late than never.

He further said that it would have been better to announce the decision within the four months of elections. But now even after two years, the declaration of 2013 polling results of NA-125 as null and void is a huge development.

He admired the tribunal of unveiling the fake election results and said that true democracy is essential to bring real productive change in Pakistan.

The failure of Election Commission to perform its duty prescribed by the constitution of Pakistan has been proved with this decision.

The results of NA-125 according to which Khwaja Saad Rafique had been declared the winner, has been said null and void.
