PESHAWAR – Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif while addressing the ceremony of distributing cheques among storm victims said that the loss of lives was a national tragedy.
Chief Minister KPK Pervaiz Khattak along with the Governor Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi also attended the ceremony.
The PM said that we want to uniformly develop the whole country. He expressed grief over the loss of lives in the recent rains and said that the entire nation shares grief with the bereaved families of storm victims.
He said that the federal government would take every possible step to ensure the rehabilitation of affected areas.
Talking about Karachi, he said that there has been a major decline in the criminal activities after start of operation in Karachi. He further said that terrorism has inflicted a national loss of Rs. 100 million and every step would be taken to restore peace in the metropolitan.
He further said that China-Pakistan economic corridor shall open new ways of development and would be equally beneficial to all parts of the country.
