ISLAMABAD – Minister of Finance Senator, Ishaq Dar, said that the Petroleum prices will remain fixed till next month on Thursday.
Oil And Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) sends a summary to Ministry of Finance to reduce the petroleum prices from the May 01.
But Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar, maintains that we are not in a position to further cut down the prices of the petroleum products at this moment.
He said that OGRA proposal to revise the prices of petroleum products has been rejected and the existing prices will prevail at least in the month of May.
He said that cost Benefit analysis of the proposal did not allow us to take the step directed in the summary of OGRA.
He said that it depends on the trend of international market in the coming month which will decide the prices to be kept further constant or to shuffle.
