LAHORE – The government approves four mega project of worth Rs. 174 Billion for Lahore including the Metro Train.
According to reports, Rs. 162 Billion reserved for Orange Line Metro Train, Rs. 330 Million allocated for projects of utilization of ground water, while Rs. 970 Million to be kept for mobile health units.
The government of Punjab has approved the aggregate of Rs. 174 Billion which is to be utilized in the year 2014-2015.
The decision is materialize in the meeting between the provincial developers and working party of Planning and development.
The meeting of Planning and development party was headed by the chairman planning and development Punjab Mr. Irfan Elahi, whereas Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal chaudhary along with relevant officers of related departments and the members of the board attended also the meeting.
Four approved developmental projects include 162 billion worth Lahore metro rail transit system at the point of Orange Line.
Punjab Disaster and Climate Improvement Project (Umbrella PC 1) amounting to 10 billion.
The sum of Rs. 330 Million for the better utilization of underground water with the collaboration of Australia.
The fourth project is of availing the technical assistance woth Rs. 970 Million under the fold of purchasing mobile health units.
