More Than One Million Nepalis Are Affected By Earthquake; UNICEF

NEW DELHI – The report issued by United Nations Children’s Fund suggest that more than One million people are affected by the Earthquake in Nepal.

The Children’s agency raced to help the most vulnerable ones.

UNICEF’s statement warned about the risk of spreading of disease as many people in capital, Kathmandu, living in open camps.

The statement said that about One Million people in Nepal are in need of urgent humanitarian assistance.

There is a grave shortage of safe water and proper sanitation which put many children at a great risk of waterborne diseases, report.

Many children get separated from their families as a result of death blow on Saturday.

UNICEF dispatched staff and cargo flights with 120 tons of humanitarian supplies, including medical and hospital supplies, tents and blankets.

The 7.9 magnitude earthquake turns the country’s building and infrastructure into debris with loss of plenty of lives and property on Saturday.
