LAHORE: Imam-e-Kaaba Dr. Shaikh Khalid al-Ghamidi met Shahbaz Sharif, the Chief Minister Punjab on Sunday, media reported.
Shaikh Ghamidi was warmly welcomed by CM. Both discussed the prevailing Yemen crisis.
The Imam-e-Kaaba appreciated Pakistan’s support to Saudi Arab and hailed efforts for promotion of religious education in the country. He said he couldn’t forget hospitality of Pakistanis during his visit to Pakistan.
On Saturday, the Imam-e-Kaaba attended “Tahfiz Harmain Shareefain” conference and also led Zuhr prayer at Jamia Ashrafia.
He also visited Badshahi Masjid where he led Maghrib prayer and was welcomed by Badshahi Masjid Khateeb Dr Abdul Khabeer Azad.
Imam-e-Kaaba Dr. Shaikh Khalid al-Ghamidi led Fajr prayer at Jamia Mosque Mansoora yesterday amid tight security arrangements.
He said Saudi Arabian government and its people were proud of their Pakistani brethren. He also prayed for solidarity of Muslim Ummah.
On Friday, Imam-e-Kaaba led Friday prayer at Bahria Town Mosque in Lahore.
Thousands of people were present in the mosque and offered Juma prayer.
