CM Punjab Inaugurates Harvesting

LAHORE – The Chief Minister Of Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, while inaugurating the harvesting on Saturday maintains that we will support farmers on the record wheat crops.

The Chief Minister said that we will monitor the procurement process, and will facilitate the farmers to achieve targets set for this year’s crop production.

In an address after the inaugural he said that farmers work day and night to fuel the economy of the country.

He said we need to motivate the small farmers and provide due reward and remuneration to them, and we will purchase wheat crops from the small farmers first.

Talking about facilitating the small farmers, he said that we will provide 10,000 tractors to the small farmers.

We are eying to start more 376 procurement processes this year, he added.

He said that agriculture and farming is the long term asset for the country and we will provide subsidy of Rs. 2 Billion to the farmers this year.
