Yemen Crisis: PM, Army Chief Leave for Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif along with Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has left for Saudi Arabia on Thursday on a daylong trip to discuss Yemen crisis with Saudi leadership.

According to sources, the PM and military chief would take Saudi authorities into confidence over Pakistani Parliament’s resolution on Yemen.

The PM is accompanied by Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Special Assistant to PM Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry.

During the visit, the civil and military leadership will meet King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz to discuss Yemen campaign.
