China Pakistan to build airport at border

ISLAMABAD: China will make highest airport on Pamir Mountains at the border of Pakistan.

According to the civil aviation authority department of China, it will be the first project of China in Tashkurgan city of Xinjiang province at Karakoram Highways near Pakistani border.

Also it will be the first airport to be built at the Pamir Mountain.

This airport will be at an elevation of 3200 meter above sea level.

According to the Chinese news agency, this airport will have immense strategic importance.

Up till now china’s highest airport is at an elevation of 4,411 meter above from sea level.

Tashkurgan is a small trade town of China and it population is almost 50 thousand.

This area possesses enormous importance with respect of Pak-China economic cooperation.

This airport will be ranked at number 18 in the list of world highest airports.
