ISLAMABAD – The Chinese President, Xi Jinping, is the fourth President of China to address the Joint Session of the Parliament in Pakistan, and 17th President in total.
The Joint Session of the Parliament started with the National Anthems of both the countries. Then Proper ceremony started with the Recitation of The Holy Quran.
The Speaker Ayaz Sadiq warmly welcomed the Chinese President saying that the Friendship of Pakistan and China is surely deeper than the deepest ocean and higher than Himalayas.
The Chinese President while addressing the Parliament house said that I feel very privileged to stand and address here in the National Assembly of Pakistan.
We have to further consolidate our friendship to get more better results, this visit is surely like the re-union of the old friends, he added.
Pakistan and china’s friendship based on the trust and harmony, and our friendship is truly unique in its nature.We have been a trustworthy and reliable friends in our hard and good times, he added.
China applaud the efforts made by the Pakistan to curb the terrorist strife from Pakistan, and both countries need to set themselves on a joint venture to cope with this heinous act, he added.
Pakistan is one of the earliest countries to recognize the new China, and the first Islamic country to start diplomatic relations with China, we will never forget this brotherly act by the Pakistan, he reaffirms.
Pakistan has always helped china whether its recognition issue or natural disasters hit the China, in the same way China has also come up to the task to help Pakistan to come out of any difficult situation.
We both should increase our mutual cooperation and strategic collaboration. we should focus on the shared development and areas of common interests, he added.
China supports the constructive and conclusive role of Pakistan in Afghanistan and recognize their utmost sacrifices fell in this mission, he added.
He further said that Peshawar Army Public School incident was the worst tragedy a country could face, we are with Pakistan to curb this extremism and terrorism. We took the victims of those incidents to Republic of China and made them spend some days there in China.
To conclude he says that China attach great priority to the Pakistan in its diplomatic agenda, and will stand ahead of Pakistan in the time of need.
