World Has Failed To Achieve The Education Goal Of 2015

United Nations organization about educational and cultural, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) says that world leaders could not be fulfilled the year 2015 goal to get primary education of the world’s children.

UNESCO says that five million 80 lakh children of the world have no access to school and ten million children will not be able to complete their primary education.

In the last 15 years, countries around the world just got able to meet its target of reducing illiteracy among adults. But the head of UNESCO Irina Bokova say that despite that considerable progress has been made.

In April year 2000 164 countries made six global commitments and among them one was to improve education in the coming years.

According to Irina Bokova, none of those promises fully meet the deadline, but “in comparison with the decade of 1990 millions of children has stared going to school”.

UNESCO says that by the end of the year if the goals are to be fulfilled then further 22 billion dollars funds are required.

According to the organization, those who are not being able to go to school are girls, and most of them are from poor families of sub-Saharan Africa.

Other than the issue of lack of donations, obstacles to the establishment of primary schools includes conflicts, poverty, discrimination, poor governance, corruption, and population growth.

According to UNESCO, United Kingdom is the most successful country to get the goal of “Education for All”.

Now new educational goals will be decided for the year 2030 which will be discussed in next month in the World Education Forum meeting in South Korea.

New targets are expected to focus on achieving quality education rather than exceed the number of students in schools.
