RIYADH – Saudia Arab and Iran are facing hostile situation for each other due to Yemen crisis, following that issue Saudi authorities prevented Iranian aircraft from entering the country in which pilgrims were traveling to Maka, TheNewTribe.com reported.
A civil aviation authority of Saudi Arab claims that the Iranian plane is stopped just because it did not get permission for entering Saudi airspace.
According to the media reports Iranian plane was carrying 260 Iranian Muslims who wanted to come to Mecca for pilgrimage. Saudi civil aviation authority said, “The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon when a passenger aircraft while traveling to Saudi Arabia sent back because the airline representatives did not get permission from the relevant airline to enter Saudi airspace”.
Country of Sunni-majority, Saudi Arabia and Shiite-majority country Iran have hostile relations between the states. These hostilities went worse when about two weeks ago when Saudi Arab launched a series of air strikes against Iranian backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, a spokesman for the Saudi Civil Aviation said that whether it will be from an Iranian airline company or by any other airline, Saudi airspace will not be allowed to violate by anyone.
He said, “aircraft of any airline, before starting the journey to other country have to get a regular permit from the other country”
