LONDON – On Easter holidays a jewelry shop of London, capital of the United Kingdom, went through a massive robbery, Scotland Yard has begun investigation, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
In the main market of the London Hatton Garden expert robber entered the jewelry shop on Easter holidays, broke the Safe boxes and looted jewelry and diamond worth millions of rupees.
According to police, thieves opened three hundred Safety deposit box opened with heavy tools and ran away with diamond and jewelry.
According to the owner of the jewelry store jewels are worth millions of dollars.
However, according to the British newspaper the Daily Mail stolen jewelry is worth 20 million pounds means 200 million or (30 billion rupees).
Police have gathered the desperado from the shop and has started investigation.
Hatton Garden Market is considered one of London’s major diamond markets.
The Daily Mail said in its report that the thief made through the roof shaft used for the building elevator.
After coming down they disabled the emergency alarm.
Then they cut off the security bars in the basement.
A foot-6-inch-thick iron sheet was cut off to access to the place where more than 600 locks were there.
Thieves cut 300 of the 600 lockers from where they robed diamond, jewelry and other valuables.
According to the report thieves get 4 day for the action as there were Easter Holiday in the UK in those days.
According to a jeweler, there must be some person involved from the staff in this case because the alarm system can be deactivated only by staff of the shop.
