ISLAMABAD: A Judicial commission has been formed to investigate alleged rigging in 2013 election on demand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to details, Supreme Court formed a three member commission which was headed by Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk.
Justice Ameer Hani Muslim and Justice Aijaz Afzal Khan are the other members of the commission.
The first meeting of judicial commission will convene today (Thursday).
A letter requesting the formation of judicial commission to investigate election rigging had reached Supreme Court, in which a 3-member bench had been requested.
The letter had been written by Law Ministry and Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
It is pertinent to mention here that the government had passed an ordinance to form a commission to investigate alleged rigging in 2013 elections.
