Players Missing But Raja Will Represent Pakistan in IPL8

MUMBAI – Pakistani Former captain Ramiz Raja will now be heard and seen in the commentary box during Indian Premier League (IPL). He has become the member of 26 member strong commentary team. According to the data provided by the tournament organizers, Ramiz Raja is the only Pakistani will participate in IPL current season in any capacity.

Last time in 2008 Pakistani players played for the first time in IPL but after that they were not allowed to play.

However Azhar Mahmood and Imran Tahir will be seen in IPL .They got this opportunity by having passports of Britain and South Africa.

Anjum Chopra, Isa Guha, Lisa Sthalekar and Melanie Jones, four former women cricketers from around the world, will also be the part of the commentary team.

Anjum is a former Indian batsman and captain and has joined studio for many tournaments over the years. Former England fast bowler Isa has been active in the media with her live commentary on radio and TV and as a studio expert. Lisa is an Indian born former Australian all-rounder while Melanie, who is from Victoria, has captained Surrey in the English County Championships.

It is important to mention here that Opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League 2015 was held on Tuesday which got a bit delayed due to rain. After that Bollywood stars Anushka Sharma, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Shahid Kapoor rocked the IPL opening ceremony with some sizzling performances.
