Al-Qaeda attacks a jail in Yemen, free 300 prisoners

SANAA: Al Qaeda terrorist had launched an attack on central Jail situated in Hadhramaut last night and freed hundreds of prisoners, local media reported on Thursday.

According to reports, the militants of Al Qaeda attacked the central jail situated in the provincial capital of Hadhramaut at night and freed at least 300 prisoners.

The local sources said that there were some clashes in a few areas of the city, located at 480 km from Aden.

In addition, clashes have covered the vicinity near the presidential palace, security department, building of the central bank and the port.

The father of Osama bin Laden was from Hadhramaut.
