MQM did not give any shutter down call for Thursday : Faisal Sabzwari

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader and a member of provincial assembly Faisal Sabzawari said that his party did not appeal to close city on Thursday.

Talking to media after meeting with Chief Minister Sindh Qayim Ali Shah, the MQM leader said that its party deceased activist Waqas Shah would be laid to rest on Thursday after Zuhar prayers adding that the day is also a mourning day for the party; however the party did not give any call to businesses and other activities in the metropolis to shut down on Thursday.

Faisal said that as many as 106 the party activists were taken into custody by Rangers of whom 24 have been booked in FIR’s.

He demanded to law enforcement agencies to release other activists who have not been booked in any cases.

Faisal said that the CM Sindh has assured the MQM to form judicial commission on the Raid on the the party headquarter 90.
