Journalist Wali Baber’s murderer Faisal Mota recovered from MQM headquarter

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers has also taken into custody during the raid on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarter  90, Faisal alias Faisal Mota, who was sentenced to death in the murder case of Geo television journalist Wali Khan Babar.

In a targeted operation early Wednesday morning, Rangers forces carried out a raid at Nine-Zero, the headquarters of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in Karachi, as well as the party’s public secretariat in Khursheed Begum Memorial Hall, Azizabad.

On March 1, 2014, An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Kandhkot announced sentences in Wali Khan Babar’s murder case, awarding death penalty to two and life imprisonment to four accused.

Wali Khan Babar was gunned down in Liaquatabad area of Karachi on January 13, 2011 when he was returning home from office.

Proclaimed offenders Kamran alias Zeeshan and Faisal Mota were sentenced to death.
