Waqar Younis behaving teammates as elder brother says Sarfaraz Ahmed

AUCKLANAD: Sarfaraz Ahmed has said that he never quarreled with Pakistan cricket team head coach Waqar Younis adding that the coach behavior with the teammates is like elder brother.

Pakistani wicket keeper-cum-batsman who got man of the match in his very first match of the World Cup on Saturday for his 49 runs and six winning catches, has spoken up for the first time regarding his relations with head coach Waqar Younis.

He was talking to a private news channel from Auckland.

Sarfaraz said that team was on wining path since last three matches and all should avoid negative talk against the team.

The wicket keeper who was much appreciated in Pakistan after his best performance against South Africa, said that “Waqar Younis is his elder and if the coach said something about me, I will not respond.”

He further clarified that he has no any differences with anybody.

Sarfaraz keeping his calm said that the team have attained momentum and everyone should avoid such talk that could hamper team performance.

It was pertinent to mention here that Sarfaraz Ahmed had been neglected by the team management in first four matches of the World Cup which included first two disastrous defeats against India and West Indies.

The wicket keeper with his outstanding performance has proved the team management decision excluding him from the team wrong.
