JI MNAs cast votes in favour of PML-N’s candidates on both seats of Islamabad in senate polls

ISLAMABAD: Members of the national assembly belonging to Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan have cast their votes in favour of the candidates of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on both the seats of Islamabad in the senate elections.

The leadership of Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan was formally contacted to support the PML-N candidates on both the seats of Islamabad in the senate elections.
The parliamentary party of the JI had consultations and decided to cast vote in favour of PML-N’s candidates; Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and Raheela Magsi. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)’s candidates were also contesting the elections on both the seats of Islamabad in the senate elections.
 

Meanwhile, while talking to media outside the parliament house Islamabad on Thursday, parliamentary leader of Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan, Sahabzada Tariqullah said that JI cast votes in favour of the candidates of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz on both the seats of Islamabad in the senate elections.
Sahabzada Tariqullah said that he invokes curse on those who come in the house though the power of money. To a question, he said that he does not know about any ordinance issued last night, saying that such ordinance have no importance if any ordinance is issued one night before the elections.
