KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah has announced a ban has been placed in Sindh on police transfer and postings.
Qaim Ali Shah talking to media said police officials would remain on their post for at least one year. He added that Rs 5 million would be provided to the police and Rangers in the province.
According to the CM, the Shikarpur tragedy case would be sent to a military court.
At least 61 people including children were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up inside an imambargah in Shikarpur during Friday prayers on January 30.
CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah revealed that the suicide attacker responsible for the Shikarpur bombing was brought from Balochistan.
He also told reporters that the facts of the Shikarpur case had been revealed and he praised the role of law enforcement agencies for the arrest of two accused.
