De Villiers, Tahir lead South Africa to beat West Indies by 257 runs

SYDNEY: AB De Villiers and Imran Tahir destroyed West Indies as they led South Africa to a convincing victory against Caribbean side.

First skipper AD De Villiers hammered West Indies bowlers while Tahir picked up five wickets to guide the team towards a comfortable win.

West Indies chasing down the huge total of 409 runs lost half of the team with just 53 runs on the score board. Skipper Jason Holder scored 56 while Dwayne Smith made 31 runs.

West Indies were all out on 151 runs as Imran Tahir picked up five wickets for 45 runs.

South Africa levels India’s record of biggest margin victory over Bermuda which they gained in 2007 World Cup.

South African skipper charged at West Indian bowlers as he scored 162 with help of 17 boundaries and 8 sixes just facing 66 delivers. He has not only scored 2nd fastest century of 52 balls but he scored the fastest 150 in the history of the game facing 63 delivers.

Protease scored 261 runs in last 20 over of the game. Hasim Amla once again steady with 65 runs with Faf du Plessis followed him with 62.

Then the carnage of West Indies bowling began on 30 over when De Villers and Rilee Rossow came to the crease. Rossow lost his wicket after scoring 61 while delivers ended up with a record breaker.

Andre Russell and Chris Gayle picked up three wickets for South Africa.
