PCB sends Rs 100m defamation notice to Imran Nazir

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has served Rs. 100 million defamation notice to Pakistan’s star test cricketer Imran Nazir.

According to reports, the notice says that Imran Nazir had baselessly alleged Intikhab Alam of asking for commission from him for issuance on No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

The notice has been sent by PCB through its lawyer Tafazzul Rizvi. The notice tells Imran Nazir to either apologize for the allegation or pay Rs. 100 million otherwise legal action will be taken against him.

In Dunya News program ‘Yeh Hai Cricket Dewangi’ on February 22, Imran Nazir claimed that Intikhab Alam had asked for commission from him to allow him to play Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
