Russal shines as West Indies outclass Pakistan

CHRISTCHURCH: West Indies defeated Pakistan by 150 runs in their 2nd pool match of World Cup at Hagley Oval on Saturday.

Pakistan were all out on 160 thanks to the brilliant bowling display by the West Indies form the beginning of the run chase.

Umar Akmal and Sohaib Maqsood showed some resistance with their half centuries but felt very short of 311 runs target.

Andre Russell and Jerome Taylor picked up three wickets for the winning side.

Earlier, West Indies posted the huge total of 310 thanks to Lendl Simmons scored 50 and Denesh Ramdin made 51.

Russall in  the depth overs smoked 42 just 13 delivers to take the match away for the Pakistan.

Haris Sohail picked up two wickets for the Green Shirts.
