Misbah decision bears fruit, Pakistan get early two huge wickets against WI

CHRISTCHURCH: Misbah decision to ball first despite winning the toss bore fruit as Pakistan team got two early wickets against West Indies on the score of 28 runs.

The green shirts have taken wickets of opening duo of West Indies. Chris Gayle was sent to pavilion by Muhammad Irfan  and Wahab Riyaz took catch on just scoring 6 runs.

Next opener Dwayne Smith lost his wicket as Harris Sohail took his catch on sleep position on the ball of Sohail Khan. Smith scored 23 runs.

Earlier,  Pakistan after winning the toss against West Indies elected to ball first in its second match of World Cup 2015.

 

Pakistani team brought just one change Nasir Jamsheed has been included in the team replacing Yasir Shah.

 

Speaking after the toss the Pakistan skipper Misbah Ul Haq said that victory in this match is crucial adding that the green shirts batsmen should play responsibly.

For the pitch Misbah said that moisture exist in the pitch and it is also slow.

 

West Indian Captain Jason Holder said that the team will only focus on the victory in the match.

 

West Indies also changed one of its team member Sulieman Benn will play today’s match on the place of Kemar Roach.
