Southee destroys England batting, New Zealand need 124 runs to win   

WELLINGTON: Tim Southe all over England, as he led New Zealand bowling attack to bowl out English side on 123 on Friday played at Westpac Stadium.

England who had decided to bat first after winning the toss were destroyed by Tim Southee’s brilliant display of swing bowling finishing with 7 wickets for 33 in his nine overs, the best figures by a New Zealand bowler in One Day International (ODI) cricket.

Joe Root showed some resistance against New Zealand but failed to post a respectable total. He made 46 while no other batsman survived hosts bowling attack.

The English side all out on 123 runs with Southee star of the show with 7 wickets.

New Zealand required 124 runs to win.
