Seven miners die in Balochistan’s Dukki due to suffocation

QUETTA: As many as seven coal miners died due to suffocation inside the Dukki mine and dozen others were saved by their colleagues, local media reported on Friday.

According to inspector of mine Rasheed Abro, A poisonous gas spread everywhere inside the mine and the miners were trapped inside which caused seven people death.

Miners rescued their dozen of colleagues due to delay in arrival of rescue teams. As many as seven  miners were trapped inside the mine for 24 hours and lost their lives.

Rescue team reached after delay of 20 hours which would be the cause of seven people death.

However, Levies official Mohammad Qasim said that they had rescued 13 miners before the arrival of rescue teams.
