HTC One M9 all set for March 1 debut

WASHINGTON: As HTC is eyeing to launch its flagship smartphone HTC one M9, now the device is officially set to debut at MWC on March 1.

The 2015 flagship smartphone from HTC is one of the most hotly-anticipated devices of this year and excitement is already building up. HTC had already announced a while ago that it has a special event scheduled for March 1, and the HTC One M9 was naturally expected to be the star of the event.

The company has now officially confirmed plans to unveil “the new HTC One” at its upcoming event.

HTC UK posted the image on Twitter on Tuesday, Feb. 17 which confirmed the new HTC One coming on March 1 event.

With less than a couple of weeks until the big event, however, we’ll soon get the official scoop on the next-generation HTC flagship smartphone.

The HTC One M9 is rumored to come with a 5-inch display, but it remains unconfirmed whether it will have a full HD (1920 x 1080) or QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution. HTC has also reportedly replaced the UltraPixel rear camera with a 20-megapixel shooter, and moved the UltraPixel tech to the front camera instead.

Other rumored specs of the next HTC One include an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with Adreno 430 graphics, 3GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB internal storage configurations, microSD card support for additional memory, and a 2,840 mAh battery. Connectivity options should include VoLTE, LTE Cat. 6, Wi-Fi ac, an Bluetooth 4.1. The handset will most likely launch with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and HTC Sense 7 on top.

None of these specs are officially confirmed at this point, however, so make sure to take them with a grain of salt. All in all, one thing’s for sure: the new HTC One will break cover on March 1, and we’ll make sure to tell you all about it.
