Sindh Assembly call for removing CNG cylinders from passenger buses

KARACHI: Sindh Assembly on Tuesday approved unanimously a resolution calling for removing CNG cylinders from passenger buses for ensuring safety of commuters.

Sindh Assembly met here with Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani in the chair. During the session Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) member of provincial assembly (MPA) Muhammad Khalid presented the resolution, calling for removing CNG cylinders from public transport buses for ensuring safety of commuters .

The resolution reads that transporters, who earn thousands of rupees from the buses, should also take care of lives of passengers.

It demanded that CNG cylinders must be removed from the buses of the province and the provincial government should also carry out operation in this regard.

Transport buses must be given clearance certificate by district administration, the resolution  demanded.

It is also pertinent to mention here that earlier Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC)  had instructed to remove low quality CNG cylinders from commercial buses.
