PM to visit Karachi today, JIT report on Baldia Town to be discussed

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will fly to Karachi today (Monday) to chair a high-level meeting on the law and order situation and discuss the JIT report on the Baldia Town.

According to sources, the detailed briefing on Baldia Town incident also would be given to PM and future strategy on the issue would be chalked out with the consultation of the provincial government.

The federal government has taken serious notice of JIT report regarding Baldia Town incident, sources informed adding that PM would get information about the police’s delay in probe and challan of the case.

Sources further said that prime minister will chair a meeting to review the advice regarding sending Baldia Town issue to military court or arrest of the culprits involved in the incident.

It is also expected that prime minister may hold a meeting with PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
