PM directs to beef up security at hospitals, educational institutions

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Sunday directed for beef up security at hospitals and educational institutions.

The PM has issued a statement following a firing incident at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad, in which a senior doctor was wounded.

The premier asked the Interior Ministry to enhance security at important installations in Islamabad.


He also ordered to form a medical board for the treatment of injured doctor Shahid Nawaz Malik.

It is pertinent to mention here that the PIMS head of cardiology Dr Shahid Malik was seriously injured in a firing incident outside the PIMS on Saturday.
