ADELAIDE: Pakistan star opener Ahmed Shehzad has suffered elbow injury after being hit by a bouncer from Ahsan Adil.
Shehzad will be monitored closely over the next 48 hours and may have to undergo decompression on the fracture if his pain does not subside.
The incident took place during practice in Adelaide, when Shehzad attempted a hook shot off Ahsan Adil but missed the ball, which crashed into the right side of his elbow.
The injury caused Shehzad so much pain that he dropped his bat on to the stumps and collapsed to the ground.
His participation in Pakistan versus India game is also doubtful.
Earlier, the reports came form Adelaide which recons a minor fracture in his right elbow while now team management said that their is no need of worry because X Ray report came clear.
Doctors advised him for icing while no fracture is diagnosed.
