ISLAMABAD: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Islamabad on two-day official visit to strengthen bilateral relations,Foreign office issued a statement on Thursday.
He will hold meetings with the premier, president and Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz during his visit, foreign office confirmed in a statement.
“Pakistan attaches great importance to its comprehensive strategic partnership with China. Such high-level visits are a regular feature of the time-tested and un-shake-able bonds of friendship between the governments and peoples of Pakistan and China,” Tasneem Aslam, Foreign office spokesperson told media
It was further told that Chinese Foreign Minister will hold talks on bilateral trade, terrorism, strategic and political cooperation and other issues.
It is pertinent to mention that Chinese President Xi Jinping will also visit Islamabad soon, One of the objective for Chinese foreign minister’s visit is to finalize the dates for expected visit of Chinese President.
Also Pakistan has invited Chinese President on its National Day parade as s special guest.
