JI, PTI agree to form alliance for Senate elections

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have agreed to make alliance for Senate elections, JI secretary general Liaqut Baloch said.

The JI secretary general said that the party will support the PTI candidates in the Senate elections.

The JI election board also decided to the party chief Siraj Ul Haq will contest Senate elections from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

As per the two party deal the PTI members of assembly will support the JI chief in the elections.

It is pertinent to mention here that the JI also part of coalition government in the KP.
