Call for trying cases against MQM in military courts

ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan on Tuesday demanded of the government to try cases against MQM workers, who have been involved in the murder of Geo News’s reporter Wali Khan Baber, burning alive of 260 innocent and poor workers of Baldia Factory, killing of former Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) Managing Director Shahid Hamid, and other high officials and noted personalities, besides thousands of ordinary citizens and workers of different political parties.

Addressing a press conference, Secretary General JI Liaqat Baloch along with JI Karachi chief Engineer Hafiz Nameeur Reham said that the government instead of being black-mailed by MQM should bring forth the nation the ‘facts’ about MQM.

Baloch said that Altaf Hussain had renounced Pakistani nationality and had nothing to do with Pakistan.

He also urged establishment to alter its what he said formula of Karachi’s management.

Baloch also called for reelection in Karachi and Hyderabad by declaring null and void the last general elections in the city for gross irregulars and mass-scale rigging.

It is to be mentioned here that MQM chief Altaf Hussain had harshly criticized Jamaat-e-Islami and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for their criticism of MQM after a JIT report which claimed MQM worker set on fire Baldia factory in 2012 for refusal of its owner to pay ransom that killed over 260 innocent labourers.
