ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Monday directed to improve pay scale of civil servants in order to boost their performance.
The PM was chairing a meeting in Islamabad which reviewed the government’s reforms agenda and the performance of ministries.
The premier on the occasion said that the accountability system could only be made effective by offering better incentives and attractions to bureaucracy.
He said the civil service reforms should be aimed at welfare of the people.
Nawaz Sharif said the performance of civil servants will be monitored and dutiful and honest officers will be encouraged to ensure better service.
The PM said the government is committed to improve the ministries performance in order to provide better service to the people at their doorsteps.
The premier said the government was making all efforts to enhance the living standards of people and provide them with all the basic facilities.
