Two suicide blasts in Baghdad leave 23 dead

BAGHDAD: As many as 23 people were killed in two suicide bombings in Baghdad on Saturday, security official said.

According to officials, officials say the bomber targeted a street filled with hardware stores situated in New Baghdad section of the capital.

There has been no claim for the attack thus far. Hospital officials confirmed the casualties. All officials spoke anonymously.

The first blast occurred in the Shia neighbourhood of New Baghdad and the second one targeted the bustling Sharqa market district.
