Caribbean Premier League 2015 hires Afridi for ($150,000)

 JAMICA: As Shahid Afridi has announced that he will quit one day career and to focus on T20 format   Afridi has now hired by the Caribbean Premier League 2015’s players draft and most expensive green shirts star for the league.

The boom boom Afridi will be paid ($150,000).The league will be played in Jamica.

Afridi, in the top grade of the 11 payment brackets at the draft, was claimed by the league’s new franchise from St Kitts and Nevis.

Other Pakistani players bought include Shoaib Malik at $100,000 by Barbados Tridents, Sohail Tanvir at $80,000 by St Kitts-Nevis and Kamran Akmal at $30,000 by Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel.

A total of 66 players were picked up from a pool of 200 during the Caribbean Premier League draft for the 2015 edition of the tournament.

Others the highest-profile overseas players included Jacques Kallis, batsmen Mahela Jayawardene and Ross Taylor, and fast bowler Lasith Malinga.

Earlier Shahid Afridi has signed up by British club Northants to play for NatWest T20 blast and Afridi will join the squad on the 15th May.

Kallis went to Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel, Jayawardene to Jamaica Tallawahs, Taylor to St Lucia Zouks and Malinga to Guyana Amazon Warriors. Marlon Samuels was among the biggest local names in the draft – several others were retained by their franchises before the draft – and he was claimed by St Kitts and Nevis.
