No unannounced loadshedding anyhwere in country: Abid Sehir Ali

ISLAMABAD:  State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Wednesday urged K-Electric to enhance power generation from its indigenous sources to end loadshedding in the mega city.

Talking in the National Assembly, the minister claimed that there was no unannounced load shedding being carried out anywhere in the country.

Abdi said that Sindh faced more loadshedding because of 131 feeders were facing line losses and that urban areas were facing six to seven hours while rural areas were facing eight to nine hours of loadshedding.

However, PPP’s Fahmida Mirza contradicted the minister’s figures, saying that the minister was misleading the house regarding power cuts. she claimed that  Badin was facing 20 to 22 hours of loadshedding.
