Nabeel Gabol all set to quit MQM, may join PTI

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement MNA Nabeel Gabol has sent his resignation from the house to MQM Rabita Committee over differences with the party leadership, which was reportedly turned down.

According to private Geo News TV, Gabol decided to tender his resignation from the National Assembly. Quoting unnamed sources, the channel said that Nabeel had complaints that he was not invited to the party meeting, but in reports presented to party chief Altaf Hussain he was marked absent.

The channel said that Nabeel was of the view that some people in the party were conspiring against him to tarnish his image before party chief Altaf Hussain.

Sources said that Nabeel Gabol is likely to quit MQM over the differences. He might join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Though later talking to Geo News, Gabol denied of tendering resignation from the National Assembly and submitting resignation to the Rabita Committee, sources insisted that the Baloch Sardar has made his mind to left the Karachi-based party and jump to Kaptan’s bandwagon to gear up the campaign for a New Pakistan.

Talking to the channel he said that whatever differences he had wit the party, they were settled at party level.

Meanwhile, another private TV channel Express News reported that the top decision making body of the party, Rabita Committee, was mulling over disciplinary action against Gabol, as, according to the channel, he was continuously violating party discipline.

The channel while quoting unnamed sources said that the Committee might ask Nabeel Gabol to tender his resignation from the National Assembly.

It is to be mentioned here that Gabol, an old guard of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP),  quit PPP in late 2012 and joined MQM after developing differences with party leadership over party affairs and handling of Lyari.
