Sindh announces cut in fares of intercity buses

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Transport and Mass Transit Mumtaz Hussain Jakhrani has announced a relief in inter-city transport fares in wake of reduction in petroleum prices.

The provincial minister announced five to eight per cent cut in fares of intercity public transport.

He directed the Secretary Transport to ensure transferring benefits of the recent reduction in petroleum products to the people.

 Punjab government has announced reduction in  urban city transport for up to 9.5 percent, the move the Sindh government could not be implemented since continual decrease in petroleum prices.
